Constantly trying to improve your website? Here are a list of 10 things you might have missed. Check these on your site.

  • 1. Link to pages from within your content. Linking to other pages on your website from your content will give your visitors a way to easilly see more of your pages.
  • 2. Make your RSS feed obvious to your user. A subscriber will give you return visits over and over again so do your best to get more subscribers by making it more visible.
  • 3. Rewrite your opening phrase, tag line, title tag etc. Try to rewrite some of the things that will be used to link to you and the things that people will see if searching in a search engine.
  • 4. If your website copy doesn’t engage you, it won’t engage your readers so rewrite it. Along the same line as the one above. Making quality content will be the thing that make or break your website.
  • 5. Make all of your copy more scanable. Use bold and italics to make your key phrases stand out to your readers and use header tags properly.
  • 6. Make your links obvious to your users. They are no good if they aren’t seen.
  • 7. Identify your key pages and give them a more prominent link on your homepage.
  • 8. Keep un useful page elements away from the center and try to keep them at a minimum.
  • 9. Create a searchbox or give your searchbox a more prominent position if you can. Searching is one of the easiest ways for visitors to navigate.
  • 10. Using breadcrumb navigation. This can really help your site especially if you have a content rich site with lots of pages.
